Work Experience Placement

  • Posted

Last week, we had a work experience placement join us to learn more about the many roles at our office. He had a colourful week, looking over many areas of law that we cover. He finished the week by writing a summary of his experience and we’re pleased to read how he enjoyed the various tasks that was set. You can read about his experience below:

“During my time at Hatten Wyatt, I had the opportunity to do various tasks in different areas of law.

I started off by looking into debt recovery cases. I was given a closed debt recovery case to understand the logistics behind it, and then I was given my own case to review.

Moving on to the next area of law, I was able to do some private client work with Joanne. Private client is an area of law where I had no prior knowledge, so it was interesting learning about this.

I have also had the chance to deal with complaints and filed a reply to a client complaint.

Later in the week, I attended a marketing event where the elderly were inquiring about wills and Lasting Power of Attorney. This allowed me to gain an understanding in this sector of law, as I also had no prior experience.

Lastly, I was able to work on some immigration work. I was looking at the criteria of becoming a UK citizen and what needs to be done in order for the process to be completed.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hatten Wyatt thank everyone who helped me during my time here.”

It was a pleasure to have you here and we wish you all of the best for your future!
