Our team of six enthusiastic, fundraising champions took on the UK’s largest inflatable 5K running challenge in aid of our chosen charity of the year: Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services.
Over the last 3 months, six staff members have been fundraising to reach their target of £400. Their fundraising included organising a sweepstake, hosting bake sales and arranging a raffle with prizes that had been donated by the team. Through working together and spurring each other on, the group managed to exceed their target and raise a total £644!
Next the group had to complete the 5K inflatable challenge which they completed together in 1 hour. The course consisted of 30 inflatables which varied in difficulty. One of the challengers said: “I loved it! It felt great to push myself physically and the obstacles were lots of fun, even when we were falling over each other! We really worked as a team to get through to the end and also worked hard to get to the fundraising target. I would definitely do it again!”
We’re ecstatic that our team were able to have fun whilst raising money and increasing awareness of a local charity. Well done team!
