It saddens us to announce that on Friday, we received news of the passing of one of our valued colleagues, Cyrus Grant. Cyrus was taken seriously ill at the end of last year and unfortunately, did not make the progress that everyone hoped he would.
A solicitor with Hatten Wyatt for just over 4 years, Cyrus brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm, specialising in criminal law. His extensive 20 year career within this sector was spent defending individuals and businesses accused of committing crimes, always going the extra mile for his clients. Before joining Hatten Wyatt, Cyrus spent a decade working for a large criminal practice, where he honed his skills.
Cyrus was known for explaining the law to his clients in simple language, ensuring that a robust defence strategy was employed to maximise their chances of success. He had an excellent working knowledge of the law and criminal practice, which he put to good use to benefit his clients.
Over the years, Cyrus had personal conduct of several high profile cases that have been widely reported in the media and in official case reports.
We’d like to take this opportunity to pay our respects and thank Cyrus for his loyalty and dedication to the firm; he will be deeply missed by not only staff, but also clients. Our thoughts are with Cyrus’ family and friends at this difficult time.
