Hours: Full time; 9am – 5:30pm Mon-Friday (or additional hours as required)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Family Solicitor with no less than 3 years PQE, for our family department in Tenterden. The role will entail dealing with a full and mixed caseload of Legal Aid and private family matters.Candidates will deal with all matters generally from beginning through to completion and cover the following areas:-
• Family
• Divorce
• Adoption
• Child Care issues
• Family Mediation
• Children dispute solicitors
• Domestic Violence solicitors
• Family Financial Property Arrangements
• Mediation


Candidates:

Successful applicants will join a friendly team and have extensive family based and matrimonial experience within a similar environment, and be able to manage their own caseload of files with minimal supervision. This is a busy and demanding role therefore individuals must be able to prioritise work, use initiative and work proactively, coupled with a good client manner and technical competence. Legal Aid knowledge is essential.

Job Description:

We are seeking a PC solicitor with no less than 3 years PQE, for our busy Private Client department in Gravesend. This is a busy and varied role covering all aspects of private client. Experience and knowledge is required in the following fields:


• Estate and Care Fees Planning
• Wills and Will Writing
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection
• Trusts and Trust Administration
• Probate and Administration of Estates
• Inheritance Tax Planning and Investments
• Charities
• Deputyship


STEP would be preferable but not essential; the Firm assists in career development/studying and candidates undertaking STEP will also be considered.


Candidates:

Successful applicants will have consistent and good private client knowledge, focusing particularly on wills, trusts, estates and tax issues, and must be able to manage their own caseload of files with minimal supervision. Private Client Legal Secretary

Salary: Dependent upon experience - upto £19,000 p.a.


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our busy Private Client department in Gravesend. The role entails providing full secretarial support to a team of four lawyers, diary management, booking appointments and liaising with clients personally and handling all general PC based telephone queries and/or requests. All typing/correspondence and document work, alongside the preparation of all legal forms where required.

This is a very interesting and varied role covering all aspects of private client and probate. The department covers a diverse caseload therefore experience and knowledge in the following fields would be advantageous:

• Preparing estate accounts
• Typing wills
• Typing LPAs
• Typing Codicils
• Probate knowledge
• IHT forms


Candidates:

Successful applicants will have previous Private Client experience within a legal environment and be enthusiastic and organised. Knowledge of digital dictation, Land Registry Portal, BigHand, Oyez Forms, Excel and Partner 4 Windows would be advantageous. Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and organised legal secretary to join our busy Family team based in Gravesend. Candidates must have previous experience of family and matrimonial issues from within a legal background and be competent in the following areas:-
• Audio dictation
• Preparation of all documents, including legal and Court forms
• Preparation of bundles
• Diary Management (organising meetings and client appointments)
• Filing, scanning, photocopying and e-filing
• Meeting and greeting clients, taking ID where required
• Telephone liaison and handling queries with clients and third parties
• Opening files and money laundering ID forms
Our Family department deals with a diverse caseload of both private and Legal Aid work including Matrimonial, Divorce, Adoption, Child Care issues / proceedings, Children's disputes, Domestic violence and Family Financial Property Arrangements therefore candidates with experience and knowledge within these areas would be preferred.


Candidates:

Successful applicants will have recent and consistent Family law experience within a legal environment and be able to use their initiative and work well unaided as or part of a team. This is a busy and sometimes pressured role therefore individuals must be organised, able to work proactively, coupled with a good client manner and smart appearance and technical competence within Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of BigHand, Oyez Forms and/or Partner 4 Windows would be advantageous.
